Am I getting my point across? Microstructure of English classroom discourses by Acehnese teachers

For English teaching practice, productive talks that spur students’ comprehension, creativity, and problem-solving ability are vital. This research aimed at finding out the spoken discourse based on six phases of microstructure in classrooms. The data were obtained recordings observations two teachers, chosen through purposive sampling, from Islamic senior high schools Aceh. concerned with lexical density or ratio content to grammatical function words within a clause. They analyzed thematic analysis which consists five steps: familiarization, code generation, theme search, themes revision, definition. It was found total by first teacher Class A 63.66% class, B 66.52%, while second 71. 74% 68.12%. 2 had higher than even though both them considered produce around 60-70%. formality teachers shows produced 172.5 184. means teacher's more formal teacher’s discourse. To analyze utterances find language used classrooms during learning process is important because they implicitly inform whether understandable for students not.
